Dragon Age Inquisition - Vanilla Bean.pin
Dragon Age Inquisition - Vanilla Bean.zip

Introduction:

Skip to the bottom to see the control layout.

I introduce the "Vanilla Bean w/Sprinkles" configuration. This will likely be the last profile/configuration I create for Dragon Age Inquisition and I want to thank everyone for taking this journey with me.

I called this profile Vanilla Bean as it is basically the vanilla configuration the game naturally uses though not quite in a similar fashion that vanilla bean is basically vanilla ice cream but not quite. The Sprinkles configuration adds a little extra functionality so it is like vanilla ice cream with a few sprinkles on it.

This means the buttons and functions are basically arranged as the game naturally does it with an exception or two. While this is accomplished through shifting, it's not a full shift in either case. Just like with the game's natural configuration, the Left Trigger only changes the abilities and the Left Shoulder can't bring up the radial menu but just like in the radial menu a person would be able to issue party commands, the button converts the D-Pad to a party command pad.

A Cursor Positioning Mode is a must have for me (for those that didn't notice that already lol) so this is also where the Left Shoulder comes in to play and switches the A button from an interact button to a Left Mouse Click button.

Of course despite not fully utilizing the commands available in the game, I have entered and labeled all of them into the Standard Command section of this profile.

Your time and any feedback provided will always be appreciated. PGP, I can honestly say that I've enjoyed creating my profiles and my game has been awesome for me to play and I know I would have hated playing the Dragon Age series (including Inquisition) on PC without you guys so thank you all again so much for this and these forums.

Dragon Age Inquisition - Reduced Swelling Profile.pin
Dragon Age Inquisition - Reduced Swelling Profile.zip

Introduction:

I am still very new to all this stuff. So new in fact that I spent days waiting on an answer to my problems regarding this only to realize the problem was me as I didn't realize I was making some pretty obvious mistakes with the controls lol. This is long, so skip to the bottom if you just want to see the good stuff and peep them Controls! )

I wanted more use from the controller set up than what the game naturally provides and so I made a profile that could do basically everything in there that you could do with a mouse and keyboard, but this is a smaller form of that configuration which is why I called this one the "Reduced Swelling Profile" as it reduces much of the multi function buttons of my other profile and removes many specific functions in order to reduce the clutter while still giving a greater amount of control than the standard controller set up in my opinion.

Cold Compress Configuration also switches the Quick Use layout to the more traditional layout as opposed to the dialogue layout favored by the other profile's configurations. Instead of multiple buttons that serve two functions (though there are still some) most alternate commands are handled with shifting into the other state.

This profile also cannot call to any menu specifically through a button and can only access menus (Inventory, Journal, Map, Character Record) through the Main Menu.

The alternate state also possesses Cursor Positioning mode in addition to being able to Quick Save and Quick Load and converts the Interact Button, to Left Mouse Click which allows for dragging and or grabbing in this mode.

As per usual, if you hate my scheme, the good thing is you can create your own using this as one as a backbone because even though it does not use all the functions available in the game, it still has every single command the game has to offer labeled in the Standard Commands section.

Again, I thank you all for your time and wish you luck. And as always, I thank PGP for opening up a new world for me and for making controlling my PC games a bit more bearable.

Introduction:

I am very new to all this (my first post in fact) so hopefully I do everything right here Lol. This is long, so skip to the bottom if you just want to see the good stuff and peep them Controls! )

But basically I was happy to see Dragon Age Inquisition would have support for game controllers... until I attempted to play it with my game controller and found it lacking for my tastes. If you felt the same way, maybe, just maybe this will be for you or at least help you out some.

I called this configuration "The Everything Bagel" Configuration because it was an interesting name to me that had the word “everything” in it and I intended to put every command in the game on this controller layout. Unfortunately, I fell one command short and had to change the name accordingly since this configuration has almost every command (I couldn’t get the Print Screen Button to work on my game with the controller… though the keyboard's button itself does in fact work) incorporated for Dragon Age Inquisition.

I did some odd things with this configuration. One majorly odd thing I chose to do with the overall configuration of this scheme is arrange the Quick Use options based on how they align with dialogue choices rather than the common way of assigning them.

I hope you take your time and that you’re patient with this configuration and that in the end, this proves to enhance your game experience. Worse comes to worse, I hope at least it will make it easier for you to create a layout that works for you.

However, even if you hate my scheme, the good thing is you can create your own, using this as a backbone as I did make and label every single command the game has to offer so no need to stare at the official manual (which is missing a command or two from it) while trying to make a profile of your own. Just check out Standard Commands and they are set up.

Thank you for your time and good luck to you. Also thank you PGP for opening up a new world for me and making my games a bit more bearable.
