i have set my controller up in nfsc with the following controls (need to change controls for pad options to these for control method "a" + default keyboard settings)

button a = shift up
button b = shift down
button y = speedbreaker

d-pad down = crew member

bottom right trigger = accelerate
bottom left trigger = brake
top right trigger/shoulder = handbrake
top left trigger/shoulder = nitro

right joystick button = reset car

pinnacle controls:

dpad up = look back
dpad left = change view
dpad right = read sms

start = pause
back = world map

left joystick button = enter race/shop

button x = unassigned (seems to cause conflict in the menus with its default "back"

assignment when i tried using for enter shop/race)

control method b: (wipe all assigned gamepad controls + leave keyboard default)

button a = shift up
button b = shift down
button y = speedbreaker
button x = unassigned as per above reason

bottom right trigger = accelerate
bottom left trigger = brake
top right trigger/shoulder = handbrake
top left trigger/shoulder = nitro

right joystick button = reset car
left joystick button = enter race/shop

dpad up = look back
dpad left = change view
dpad right = read sms
d-pad down = crew member

start = pause
back = world map

i have not tested control type b yet but it should work fine
i have tested the "a" type 5 laps around a circut with a subaru imprezza wrx sti @ full speed + nitro & it seems fine & handles well

only other bug i have come across so far is dpad left for camera.. in races it is fine but in free roam it appears dpad left is hidden assignment to the territory map so each press will bring up the map + change view during free roam this may be a slight annoyance to some but otherwise works fine

setup works ok for me almost the same as most wanted, won't be everyones cup of tea, feel free to modify it :p

nice having friends that work in stores & can get the retail game box for you before it officially goes on sale :D

edit: well since my friend asked me about the mappings although the stick is unassigned & not using the arrow keys (doesn't appear to be on testing anyway) for cosmetic sake i have removed those :oops:
