Just unplug your gamepad and run the game with PGP running in the background. Then right after you press space bar to enter the main menu of the game, plug the gamepad and Pinnacle recognizes the gamepad and the game stops doing its messy thing with the controls.

A year ago or so I tried to play this game with my gamepad, but for some reason the strange behavior of the gamepad ingame would not let pinnacle do its job properly, so i gave up and played it with keyboard and mouse.

Today I was about to start the game again and shoot the last bullet to try to make it playable with gamepad, and checking my old post asking for help i found a great suggestion by Rob (mod).

Just unplug your gamepad and run the game with pinnacle running in the background. Then right after you press space bar to enter the main menu of the game, plug the gamepad and voila! Pinnacle recognizes the gamepad and the game stops doing its messy thing with the controls.

I know most of you does not care much about this game, but maybe with this profile you can give it another try and enjoy it a bit more :) To be honest, i like a lot this game despite the bad reviews, but i just could not play it anymore with mouse and keys.
