Tesla Effect: A Tex Murphy Adventure profile
Developer: Big Finish Games
Release Date: May 8, 2014
Profile for "Tesla Effect - A Tex Murphy Adventure"
Note 1 : The game hook have to be installed prior the launching of the game (Open the program > click on "Game Profiles" top right corner > click on "Edit" > click on the "Advanced" tab, on the left side bottom corner of the window you'll see "Hook Not Installed". Click on "Install now" to install it). You also have to answer "yes" to the window pop-up when you first start the game (use ALT+Tab to switch to it when you'll heard a window pop-up sound).
Note 2 : As "Pinnacle Game Profiler" don't seem to be able to block the native controller support for this game (there is one in the game but it's buggy, only the left analog
stick works and a few buttons), you have two choices depending of your Computer OS :
A) Windows XP : You have to unplug your 360 controller before starting the game then replug it once you are on the title screen. With that trick, the buggy native
controller support won't be loaded and you'll be able to use the Windows XP Profile (which is better in my opinion than the W7 profile as you can controller the characters with the left stick). If you have a controller that don't use xinput (360 controller default mode), you might be able to use this profile without having to unplug your controller before loading the game (I suppose the native controller support only use xinput, but not 100% sure).
B) Windows 7 : Even if you unplug the controller prior to the game launching then plug it again once the game is loaded, the game will still able to detect the
controller and so enable the native controller support. So I created another profile (less good than the XP one but still fully fonctionnal). Main differences
is that with the Windows 7 profile, you can only move the character with the d-pad and some buttons mapping are tweaked. You can also use this profile with Windows XP if you don't want to unplug/replug your controller.
If someone know how to directly block the native support in-game (or if the developpers add an option to disable the controller support in the next update), I'll delete the Windows 7 profile which will then become useless.
