HI, I have made a new 360 profile for the re-release of Final Fantasy VII. I wasn't happy with the existing one.

All commands are labeled so it's easy for you to change it to your liking.

A = OK
B = Cancel/Run (Hold B to Run)
X = Switch
Y = Menu
LB/LT = Previous and Escape (hold with RB or RT to Escape)
RB/RT = Next and Escape (hold with LB or LT to Escape)
Back = Target
Start = Pause
Left Stick Button = Assist
Right Stick Button = Camera
Left Analog Stick = Analog Movement (Walk and Run, Menu Movement not recommended but possible)
Right Analog Stick = Analog Movement (Walk and Run, Menu Movement not recommended but possible)
D-Pad = Movement and Menu Movement (Hold B to Run)

Remember the Run and Cancel buttons are the same, that is hard coded into the game I believe and can't be changed. That means that if you choose to use the Analog Sticks for menu navigation and you tilt too far, it will cancel out on you. I recommend using the D-Pad for menu navigation. If you can't get used to that and want to go back to holding B to Run, simply go into the Configuration (Game Profiles-->Edit Configuration), right click Analog Walk/Run and choose Remove Assignment.
Thanks for the headstart, Crono1973! I'm new to the forums but I've been using pinnacle for a long time now. I took your profile and modified it a bit for the original default controls for FF7 on the PlayStation. This includes the triggers which Square Enix seemed to have left out of their own configuration. Hope this helps anyone.
Ok I had ask for this but got some spare time last night so sat and made one for the 360 controler. Please tell me what you think and if thers any chages you can make then plese do and post the new .pin

My first attempt at making a profile for Final Fantasy VII (Steam release). I have a few tweaks left for the near future but this profile works the best and is closest to the original controls as I've been able to get. I've tried the other profiles on the forums for this game and I find that my profile isn't all that much different than theirs with a few noticeable exceptions. Movement is made easier and doesn't stutter with the D-Pad like the other profiles I've tried. I've also set the fleeing from battle to a one button hold instead of holding down both (simply because I don't know how to make LB + RB work as one action yet, this is one of the tweaks I'll be adding later). I've also fixed the ability to navigate menus with the L-Joystick and D-Pad without canceling out by leaning or press left or right which makes browsing the menus feel less aggravating and time consuming. I've also added the targeting and description window during battles to the right buttons (again I'm comparing it to the other profiles on the forums who had the mapped incorrectly). And finally there is one semi-useless feature that was included during battle that I have yet to figure out how to add which basically hid the command window as long as you held down Square on the original Playstation controller, so once I figure out how to implement this (or someone is kind enough to help me) I'll eventually implement this feature for authenticity of course.

Update #1: Figured out a neat way to slow down the menu problem I was having by adding a half second pause before it can register the hold so it doesn't skip through characters on the status/equip screen like crazy anymore. Still having trouble figuring out why LB activates "Target" during battle when holding it down to escape with RB. I still can't figure out why it's doing that. Once I get that done, the basics will have been taken care of and then I don't know how but somehow I will try to figure out the world map controls.. I don't even know where to begin with those. For the time being I've uploaded my new updated file.
