ok since not a whole lot of people know about the game, i figure i will go ahead and introduce it first.
Transcendence is a free game...that is astonishingly original. Its a space-combat game (with an Asteroids feel to it...but better graphics and a story) where you may encouter pirates, outlaws, and slavers. The game has a definite attention to detail (maybe not as much as DF:SAGB, but still a lot). You start out with a selection between 3 different ships with 3 different qualities and you begin your adventure where you can earn more credits or loot more items and upgrade your ship as you go. Its kind of difficult to explain too much past saying its like a super-buffed up asteroids. That and it is mod-friendly and you can create your own unique star cruiser, or weapons, or armor, or items to help you through your journey.
