Be sure all game controls are set to there defaults.
You must remove the assigned joystick commands form the in game controls.

Notes
Hold the interact (A) button for 1 second to change perspective.
When using the map (Start) and toggle objectives (Back) buttons simply press the button again to exit out of there screens.
