author's profile notes

This profile is for Doom, Doom 2 and Final Doom when using the zDoom engine. Several Doom engines have been released but the zDoom engine offers a few features such as widescreen and excellent joypad analog stick support. This profile will primarily be for zDoom but may also work with the original Doom or other engines.

You can download zDoom here:

Doom however comes with an assortment of different default keys so it is recommended you add the following keys to your configuration so that this profile works correctly.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you enable joystick support in the menu for zDoom's excellent analog stick support, which allows very fine differences in speed. However if you wish to use Pinnacle's regular wsad / mouse emulation the joystick movement has been created in the file, but is not enabled by default. Also since the ingame joypad support doesn't allow you to control the menu etc, all action buttons (fire, open, etc) are assigned using Pinnacle.

Please use the ZDoom default button settings and make sure to disable in game joystick support (the default) and, if you want, enable always mouse look mode.

Great to play Doom on a plasma HDTV on 'full hd' resolution :) (enable font resizing).

Have fun. See the PDF for the button layout. You can control the ingame menu with the controller (analog stick). You can cycle through the weapons by holding down the up or down d-pad.

ps. my first profile! :)
