With the Interplay sale on GOG.com I just had to get Descent 1 and 2 (uh, and 3). Here's a profile I made for Descent 1 & 2. Each game is a separate config.
Make sure the controls are set to default on both games. If you're using Descent 2 rebirth, you'll need to set the Reverse button back to the default of Z.
Controls you might want to change: bank left and right (d-pad left and right) and slide up and down (the shoulder buttons, L1/R1).
