Joystick Commands For...
This list contains all of the joystick commands for the profile. A joystick command consists of up to 4 standard commands, one for each direction (up, down, left, & right). When a joystick that is assigned a joystick command is tilted, it will fire the command that is assigned to the direction that the joystick is being pushed in. If a joystick is pushed between two directions, then both of the direction's assigned commands will be fired. For instance, if you push the joystick down and to the right, the command assigned to the down direction and the command assigned to the right direction will both be fired. You can use the 'New' and 'Delete' buttons to add or remove joystick commands from the list.
Joystick Command Properties
Here you will see the selected joystick command's name and the assigned commands for each direction. Click the assignment label next to any direction to bring up the assignment popup menu, then select a command from the menu to assign it to that direction. Press the 'Advanced...' button to display the advanced settings for the selected joystick command. The 'Commands...' button to the right of the name can be used to access the standard Edit Commands window without having to close the Edit Joystick Commands window.
Notes and Tips
Although in most cases a 4-direction Joystick Command is recommended, you can also press the 'Advanced' button to change to 8-direction style which will allow you to assign seperate commands to diagonal directions as well.
Cycle Commands and Axis Commands can also be used as sub-commands of a Joystick Command, just create one or more cycle or axis command and then you will see them appear here on the direction assignment menu.
Hold the SHIFT or ALT key on your keyboard when you click an assignment label to perform various alternative actions. Holding ALT will allow you to quickly remove an assignment, and holding SHIFT will display the "Quick Assignment" window (which can also be displayed by simply right-clicking the assignment label).
