Commands For...
This list contains all of the standard commands for the game profile. You can use the 'New' and 'Delete' buttons to add or remove commands from the list.

Command Properties
Here you will see the selected command's name and event steps. Whenever you press one of the buttons on your controller device, a 'Pressed Event' occurs for that button. If there is a command assigned to that button, then the event steps of that command's 'Pressed Event' will be fired. For example, if the pressed event of the command contained the step 'Key F Down', then Pinnacle would tell your computer that the F key on your keyboard is being held down. The 'Released Event' works in the same way, but fires after you've released the button on your controller. So if the released event of the command contained the step 'Key F Up', then Pinnacle would tell your computer that the F key has been released and is no longer being held down. Press the 'Edit Steps' button to display the Edit Events Steps window, where you can modify the steps in these event lists.

Notes and Tips

  • You can group commands together by using the '>' character in the names of your commands (for example: "Movement > Move Forward" and "Movement > Move Backward", as seen in the image below, would place a command named 'Move Forward' and a command named 'Move Backward' into a command group called 'Movement' ). This type of sorting can be very useful to keep the assignment popup menu organized for games with many commands.
