Default Joystick mouse mapping issues

I've been having issues with mapping a mouse to the joystick for a while now and only recently I've started trying to figure it out. Simple story is the mapping is very jerky/awkward when moving the stick anywhere off of the x or y axis.

Best example I can use to explain this is I turned on the windows default profile that came with PgP and I spin the stick in a circle.. you would think the mouse on screen would move in a circle or an oval, it seems to move in more of a square, chaffered but more squarish than a circle. If I hold the stick to the right and slowly slide it up to the 45 degrees NE, the mouse doesn't seem to follow this motion smoothly at all.

I'm running windows 7 64bit, I believe the latest version of PgP.. though I've had this issue for a while.

I hope its just a setting on my side if anyone can direct me.

I think you are seeing Joystick Acceleration... normally that is quite useful for full-screen games, expecially FPS and such, but it doesn't draw good mouse-circles, lol. Actually the WinProfile should have Joystick Acceleration disabled by default, although older versions of the software did not do that. Anyway, if you go to EDIT CONFIGURATIONS and press the F2 key on your keyboard, you will see the Joystick Acceleration feature there that you can disable.

well I used the mouse-circle as an example.. its difficult to aim when the controls have issues transitioning from on axis to off axis. there are a few games I have on pc and 360 and I only have issues with the pc.

It's possibly you are being effected by a bug that was recently fixed regarding the Joystick Acceleration, so maybe that is the problem when it comes to aiming. Anyway, try disabling it to see if that makes it better for you.
