Here is a rather unusual profile I made which is more like a tool to help you easily find the perfect sensitivity settings for all your profiles.
It works by allowing you to fully adjust the horizontal & vertical sensitivity in-game. Once you have found the setting that feels just right, the profile will provide you feedback of your selected sensitivity setting by typing
it into notepad. You can then adjust your profile accordingly.
Not only is it great for finding the perfect overall sensitivity, but is particularly handy for finding the perfect setting for a 'quick setting adjust' when aiming, sniping etc. It's also great for tweaking the horizontal & vertical sensitivity independently from each other.
Here's how it works...When the profile is started it will launch notepad, from there you will need to manually launch the game your testing. The profile will begin at the default sensitivity setting 60%.
To adjust the overall joystick sensitivity (Horizontal & vertical) Press RB to increase, LB to Decrease.
To adjust Horizontal & vertical independently, press d-pad left/right to decrease/increase horizontal
sensitivity & press d-pad up/down to increase/decrease vertical sensitivity.
Once you have found the perfect settings, alt, tab back to notepad.
If you used LB/RB to adjust the sensitivity,
Press the A button to display the joystick sensitivity.
If you used the d-pad to adjust H & V independently,
Press X to display the horizontal sensitivity,
Press Y to display the vertical sensitivity.
Things to remember:
This profile is MASSIVE!! It contains over 600 commands divided into multiple cycle commands which are linked together using cycle pointers....it's a lot like clockwork. If you mess with it, you may screw it all up & have to re-import it.
Because of it's massive size expect a delay of up to 10 sec. when clicking on EDIT CONFIGURATIONS etc.
Also, I seem to take a performance hit when running this profile, but it may be my crappy pc lol.
The profile contains most of the quick mappings/assignments that you'll need for testing
(WASD, left mouse btn. etc.) but you may have to assign extra for some games.
I have used the xbox 360 controller as an example, but should work with any controller.
You can always reset the profile by pressing the B button.
I put an enormous amount of work into this & would like to hear feedback on how well it works.
Enjoy!
EDIT: Added my xbox 360 controls diagram so you can make a nice control layout for your profiles. If you wish, You can use the command legend to to distinguish the command type. Just type in the commands on the lines in the color that matches the command type.
