Ok not to be nasty or sound rude but the offical Halo profile was rubbish as it did't feel right or work well for a halo game.
Being a massive Halo fan I have redone it so it is very close to the actual setup from the xbox! It has been slitly modifed so its a little closer to Halo 3 but it still works great!!
The only issue I have is sensativity as everyone likes it diffrently so I have left that alone you will need to setit up how you like!
If theres any setting that can be fine tuned then please do so but share it with us.
i played this on xbox, then again a while back on a windows xp PC. I don't recall how I did the profile but the PC game was buggy as hell - it would regularly lose all sound & require a delve into directx to reset the directx sound drivers. I think I found a widescreen hack from somewhere.
i considered replaying halo 2 once I got a vista PC but that had a max resolution of about 1400 x 900 so it looked pretty awful on 1920 x 1080 HD screens.
but gameplay wize I think Halo 1 was as good as it got. I'm looking now at halo reach on Xbox & thinking" been there - done that, what's all the fuss about" - its same weapons, same aliens, almost the same music.... maybe it improves further into the game buit after 30 minutes I was too bored to continue!
