Hi people, I don't know anyone of you, but I'm making a powerful windows controller profile for the ps2 dualshock 2, that you may find interesting. Is there anyone interested?. It would be very useful if you want to have your laptop in your night table, or somethin like that. It has a lot of functions, it has four configurations switchable with hot-swaps:
1-Windows
2-Media
3-Mozilla Firefox
4-Type(I mean write)
with the first, you can easily surf your folders, the second allows you to control media, the 3rd is very good for Firefox, and also can be used to control windows, and the big thing here is the 4th, that allows you to write any text with 12 buttons, thanks to shifters and double buttons. this is not ready yet, I'm still working on it. but I hope I finish it soon (and I hope it works ok)
I´m almost sure you can use the commands in your xbox360 controller as well, it would just take a few minutes to transfer it(I mean, assign the commands to the buttons that seem the dualshock 2's ones). The adapter I use for my controller, is bought through ebay, in china. I think it would almost suit yours, maybe you have to change just a command with other(I mean, make the triangle a circle, and make the circle a triangle).
The buttons order for my adapter is:
1-triangle.
2-circle.
3-X.
4-Square.
5-L2.
6-R2.
7-L1.
8-R1.
9-Select.
10-Start.
11-left stick button.
12-right stick button.
I think it is not very difficult to get used to it, cos the letters are in alphabetical order(and the numbers).
If anyone is interested in it, post a reply, and I will post it, and I will help you, if neccesary.
Please share and modify it freely, but don't earn money with that. This could become an important thing, so everybody always remember that I DESINGED IT and I CREATED IT, and I DON'T WANT anyone to have any money at the expense of this, or any of my ideas(such as the writting method)

You might as well finish it up if you are still working on it before you post it. FYI, I have plans to kind of "evolve" the WinProfile into something bigger like this idea in the future, but that probably won't be for a while so your profile could still come in handy.

Hi guys. I’ve been working on this and now it Works ok.
The most useful is the Mozilla Firefox config., and then the Typping config. The typping config is not very fast I think but it is very lazy(once you get used) cos you can be grabbing your controller everywhere, don’t have to put you hands in a det. place. You can do everything with the mozilla firefox config, including opening a new tab, surf tabs, surf windows, close tabs, go to search or address bar, change the search engine and even write with the joysticks(not mine, it is pinnacle’s josticks mapping to keyboard). You can also do a lot of things with the simpler controller config., also controlling media, but not as many internet things as the Mozilla Firefox.
Regarding to the “Shiftercklen typping”, This is the Spanish version, that may work perfectly in your computers (non-spanish) with letters and numbers, but not with the punctuation signs. I mean that the sketch I’ve made for this, is made for Spanish text proccessing, that means that when I say “circle + left = apostrophe”, it may be “circle+left=left bracket” in your computer. anyway, If you have all the commands you need in this version(I’m almost sure) you just have to change the sketch. But if you don’t have enough commands, you’d need to change the commands (difficult) or let me know and I’ll do it(not as difficult).
I post here a zip file with the profile, and the sketch I’ve made for “Shiftercklen typping”, inside. I hope you find it interesting. Let me know if it is useful for you, that’s always appreciated. bye

Explanations
There are hotkeys to access any configuration, pressing the corresponding number in the keyboard. The 4th(Windows), 5th(Media), 6th(typping) and 7th(Firefox) configs. Are related by “select” and “start” buttons in the controller. This works like this: “select” and “start” can be “on” or “off”. And then you have four combs. So when “Sl” is “off” and “St” is “off”, it is the 4th config. When “Sl” is “off” and “St” is “on”, it is 5th config. When “Sl” is “on” and “St” is “off”, it is the 6th config. And It is the 7th when they are both on. Default config. is set to 7th, so when you run it, it starts with both on. Note this I didn’t say! It works like: you press “St” and you switch it “on” to “off”, or “off” to “on”, you know? And it is the same with the select.
How to type with the typping config.:
You have two shifters: L1 and L2. the sketch is organised according to the four possible combinations within those shifters: 2 1 means non-press any shifter, 2 1 (In the sketch is represented at the down side of the page) means press both shifters, 2 1 means… you know. You can press any of those combs. And no problem what order you press it, it is designed like real-time shifters. But you should not change the combs. while you are pressing any of the normal buttons. Then, when you have a comb. of shifters you press two normal buttons at the same time: one from the left side and one from the right one. I know it is very difficult to press it AT THE SAME TIME, no problem, you press it as if it is the same time, and it works, although that’s not the same time(you can press first any of them). I even think that if you press them AT THE SAME TIME, that will not work ok(that could be an error that may be corriged in later versions), but it is very difficult to happen, cos I’ve just made aprox. 100 keystrokes with this, and there has been just one missing letter(that may be caused by bad pressing, or my ps2 controller may be making errors). Please press two buttons at the same time, then release both and then press two new buttons. don’t press a button, and then press other and then release the first, and then press other….If there were any rare error with this, I think it is caused because of the d-pad(sometimes you are pressing left and it presses down), or by the cycle pointers. If this error were noted, just do this: press R1, then press R2, then release R1, and then , release R2, and the cycles are reseted. R1 and R2 buttons, are keyboard keys Shift and Alt gr, and they are just independent from L1 and L2 buttons, they just emulate keystrokes, and you can combine it with the letters(but the program doesn’t know this, it is just the text processor that combines them). You can see the other commands in the config. Window(I mean the joystick and joystick button commands)
For other configs., you can see the commands at the configuration window, or you can wait to the sketches I will post later
I’ve corrected a bug in the 6th(typping) config. it is like an unassigned joystick unshifted command caused problems, and I assigned a Blank jostick command. If you leave it, it will start sending down mouse wheel commands when you press the shift button. If you want to assign other jostick command, be sure it has an axis command in the down-up assignments, otherwise, the problem will persist. I don’t know what would happen if the joystick is mapped, just try it.

there was three errors in the explanation:
-when I said 1 2 and then 1 2, and then 1 2 .... it means 1 2, and then 1 2 and then 1 2....
-when a said the key to reset the cycles, it is not R1 and R2(keyboard shifters), it is L1 and L2(program shifters) instead, so it is like pressing L1, pressing L2, then releasing L1, and then releasing L2.
-I forgot to say: that bug I mentioned will be really corriged by ADMIN in the next build, that means that you won't have to assign any axis command or anything.

hi guys. it seems like there are not too much people that like my profiles, jejejeeee. Anyway, here is Lazy Windows Profile v2 (Spanish).
explanation:
The configuration of typping is still the same. Now the configurations of Windows Explorer and Media and Internet, have been joint into one called 7-Mozilla Firefox, that is more complex, useful, advanced. There is no longer "3-Simpler Controller" configuration.
I use this profile always, and I don't need mouse or keyboard or anything else to control my computer inside windows, I control it just with the ps2 controller. I'm very proud of this profile. I can do play/stop the music, surf the folders, surf internet, rename the files, see the properties of a file/folders, etc.* with this 2 configurations:6-Shiftercklen Typping, and 7-Mozilla Firefox. There is a file attached in this message, together with the profile. That file is an image with a sketch of the commands of the "7-Mozilla Firefox" configuration. when there is two commands inside a button, that means that button has assigned a double command, and next to the button there is a sign that identifies the double command as press/hold command or single/double press command. a sign like this (. .) means single/double press and a sign like this (._.) means press/hold.
In that 2 configurations, the button "start" means "change to each other", and the button "select" means "change to the "1-Configuration changer" configuration", another new thing included in this version. In that configuration, each button can redirect you to another configuration. There is no many configurations assigned to the buttons, but you can assign it if you want(and if you know how to use the program). In the version I upload now, the button "start" redirects you to the "0-Blank" configuration, the button "select" redirects you to the "2-Almost Blank" configuration(another new thing). And the button x redirects you to 7- Mozilla Firefox and the button (square) redirects you to 6-Shiftercklen Typping. The second configuration has just one function that is assigned to "select" and means "return to configuration changer configuration". This configuration is useful for when you are going to play a game(Without Pinnacle, using the commands of the joypad itself) and you are not going to use "select", but you want to use the other buttons to play the game, and when you finish to play the game, you just press "select" and you go to "1-Configuration changer". But if you are going to use all the buttons, you must go to "0-Blank".
Due to problems with the hotkeys, now there's just one, called 7, assigned to the key 7, that redirects you to "7-Mozilla Firefox". If you whenever press 7, remember you are then in the config 7.
When you are using "Minimize/Maximize/Restore window" function, you have to press "Alt" before. The problem here is that some kinds of windows, requires that you press Alt and then you press the button, but some others(not many) requires that you hold Alt while you press the button. That's why I didn't put it into one command.
I still use the same usb/controller interface, that means that the same buttons are assigned to the button numbers, as I explained in previous messages. If you want to learn how to type with this, or anything about "6-Shiftercklen Typping" please read previous messages in this thread. I don't know what more I can explain, jejejejeeee.

This is interesting. Hope you have a presentation demo (eg. YouTube) so most "newbie" will understand what you wanted to accomplish. I might be wrong, but a visual presentation will garner much more interest. As for me, I am interested myself -- using the controller instead of the keyboard.
