Tired of not being able to compete with those who use keyboard/mouse setups because your aim is all over the place and your joysticks are too sensitive? With the help of admin, I was able to customize the original CODWAW configuration to almost duplicate the feel of the same game for the PS3. The mouse sensitivity is reduced when you aim. Also, when you press aim, the crosshair moves down a couple of pixels so youre actually aiming at the character instead of over his head and then goes back to normal when you let go of the button. Last but not least, I also tweaked the speed at which the left joystick moves side to side because this is very important to me in this game. I am now enjoying this game to its full potential and no longer have to worry about other players having an advantage over me. In order for this profile to work, you must set the controller config in the actual game to defaults. Then go into controller config again, and change Smooth Mouse to Yes. . Also, make sure that in the actual pinnacle software, you select COD5B as the configuration. Hope this works for you guys too... Well enough of the chit chat.... here you go:
I used the PS3 Controller image because I feel that it better displays the configuration
Cool, I'm glad my tips helped! But just so you know, Pinnacle can automatically convert configurations for similiar devices, so this is not only compatible with your Logitech Rumblepad2, but it should also work exactly the same for Xbox360 and PS2/PS3 users, and over 40+ other similiar gamepads! (that's why I removed Rumblepad2 from your thread title to avoid any confusion for downloaders)... Thanks for sharing!
does this fix the choppiness you experience when you try to move AND look at the same time? Because it seems hard to look around because when you do all you get is like a jerky type motion. I will upload a video of my experience if needed.
That "chopiness" is definitely related to your mouse-smoothing selection. When you first ran your profile, Pinnacle should have displayed a window describing different levels of mouse-smoothing... and asks you to select one. There is Advanced, Basic, and Disabled... if you selected anything other than Advanced, then it's highly likely that is the cause of the chopiness... Basic works for some people well, but depending on your settings it could be just as choppy or worse than disabling the smoothing (as is the common MS emulation). Anyway, if you decided not to use Advanced, I think you should at least give it a shot and you will see the difference. You can still access those settings to change then in PREFERENCES though, even if you picked "remember this choice" on the window when it was first shown.
I've been playing on PS3 and love it, but the aiming is so hard with a controller on PC (using a 360 controller) so I hope this works!!! THANKS SO MUCH!!
One question though. I noticed with the official profile when using rifles that you can't shoot as fast as you can with a mouse. I press the button repeatedly on my 360 controller but its just a steady fire unlike if I'm pushing repeatedly on the mouse and its rapid. Is this fixed or the same?
Not that I use rifles much, but for when I do for challenges.
Hey, when I press R1 to aim is it supposed to be kept aiming even if I release? If I release in the PS3 version it lets go of the aim, but in this version you have to press it again to release the aim.
Is there a way to fix this?
I'm using your profile and it works great otherwise, just have to have a steady hand when aiming though since there is no auto-aim on the PC version.
this profile sets your trigger button to throw grenades on the xbox360 controller and not attack. i changed the R/L shoulder to be prim/spec grenades and the L/R trig to be attack and aim down sight.
well, on the ps3 controller the top trigger is attack and the bottom is grenade. since these two buttons are identical (both just rectangle buttons) but on the 360 controller the top is a normal recrtangle and the bottom is like a gun trigger. so i just reversed the two as it should be.
