Its finally happening. A chatpad driver has been made and its open source. (It only supports wired controllers for now but the author says he is working on wireless in the future, but the source code seems to be open and im guessing thats a good thing)

how long before we can get support in pinnacle.

These work perfect. I'd love for native PGP support, but running this as well will do.

    I'm having serious problems with this. For starters, I can't install these drivers, they have a little error icon in device manager and it seems to uninstall my xbox controller from Pinnacle. Also, when I try to run the command prompt (manually), no matter what control panel or test I use, it comes up with;

"Failed to open config file "chatpad_config.txt"
There was an error while attempting to load config file"

I don't know why this is, its right there in the files with it.

But I'm thinking, is it even worth installing this? Will it not just remove my controller so I won't be able to use it with Pinnacle? Is it possible to actually have the controller be running its profile in pinnacle whilst also run this software to use the keyboard or is it simply one or the other?

I hope Pinnacle can support this soon and it isn't just forgotten and left behind, this should be worked on, its a great help.

I wasn't able to get this working, but for those that have gotten it working, I don't think it would have any trouble working alongside PGP.

Problem is when I try to install it, I can't get it working and it knocks my xbox controller off so I can't use it with pinnacle.

    almost identical

check this out. I have been looking for the same thing, its a bit pricey but the closest thing i have found

looks VERY promising, and nearly IDENTICAL to the 360 ctrl: this is the igugu gamecore

not sure if it works or not with pgp i am posting a thread in the help section to see if i can get an answer

just give up on that thing. I bought one about 3 years ago because it was FALSELY advertised as working with windows.
Absolutely shameful carry on on microsoft's part!

    I recently discovered this however.

    http://www.dealextreme.com/p/2-4ghz-...rd-black-48849

it comes to about €20 and delivery is free, you can pick up a compatible bluetooth dongle at the same site for €1.30!

That's a little thumb trackpad on the top right. it's also a middle mouse button when you click it in which makes scrolling in the browser a breeze
If you can use an analog stick as a mouse you'll have no trouble operating the little trackpad.

The battery lasts for a week on one charge. (mini usb cable included)

by the way I'm not associated with the manufacturer or the site but I really think this has to be one of the greatest chatpad solutions going.
It has full keyboard capability with all special chars and F keys and even has a few media buttons.

I'm playing the elder scrolls 2 at the moment which requires you to enter location names on the keyboard.

With my 360 controller & pinnacle & bluetooth keyboard i'm in lazyboy heaven!

ps this is a new account cause I haven't been around for a while and I cant access my old one.

    Thumbs up

THanks for the heads up on the keyboard. Looks good and cheap for a bluetooth 2.0 device.
