Random mapping for Racing Wheel !
OK I'm about to give up on PGP !
Why !
PGP seems to have a life of it's own !
I often find that when I want to play a racing game, the button mapping in PGP has changed around and does not work at all in the games I want to play.
The driver info for the wheel shows that all the buttons work as they should. No problems there
All I want to do is having the Escape, Enter and left Mouse button mapped to my buttons on my racing wheel.
And most important is the possibility to move the mouse pointer with the the D-Pad.
Sound like a pretty simple request, doesn't it

What is probably happening to you is the built in support that the game already have for your racing wheel and that seems to override the mapping of the "Escape, Enter and left Mouse button" Try installing the Hook and see if that would override the built in support.
Better yet, if in the game's option you can disable controller or gaming device support. Then you can achieve what you desire.
Another option to consider is to start PGP as Administrator. To do that right click on the desktop shortcut icon of PGP and run as Administrator. But make sure and shutdown PGP from the system tray first before restarting PGP. If you have hidden icons enabled just click on the small white arrow next to the system tray to see if PGP is open.

Thanks for replying - but what is "The Hook" ? and what does it do ?
-
Open PGP's main window on your desktop, go to "Game Profiles" top right corner new window will open, highlight your profile if its not already highlighted and click on the "Edit" button. Next window will open, click on the "Advanced" tab, down to the bottom left you'll see "Hook Not Installed" Install Now.
What the Hook normally does, is disables any built in support for gaming devices in the game and allows you to map commands via PGP. But as I said before if the game itself do have the option to disable controller support that is the best way to go. Then you can map any kb key or mouse button to the gaming device via PGP.

When I click install now, a popup says "The directory path for the Game Hook does not exist."
-
I tried to change the Hook path to the game directory and now I don't get the error message any more .
It seem to be working!
but what is the Hook anyway ?
-
The hook is used to intercept the controller signals, and modify them, before they reach the game
-
OK
- If you say so
Seems to be working great so far !
Thanks
