Xbox controller/ flightstick combo?

Hi all,
Does any body know if it's possible to set up an xbox controller/ flight stick (joystick) combo ??
i,e Use an xbox controller in Battlefield 3 as you would in xbox, but then be able to switch to a flight stick when you jump in to a Heli or jet and then back again when you exit craft ?
This obviously needs to happen in mid game, so is there a way of setting up a command/ button press to change from one to the other and back again...
I normally play on my xbox but would really like to set up a multi screen system on my PC, but only if this is possible...

Any ideas?

Yes, you would use the "configuration HOT-SWAP" event step... create 2 new commands that will send the "configuration HOT-SWAP" event step... one that swaps to "flightstick config" and assign that in your "gamepad config"... and then another to swap to "gamepad config" that you will assign in your "flightstick config".
