GTA San Andreas with Xbox 360 controller but classic/PS2 controls?

Hey there,

I recently purchased GTA SA for my PC to play with my Xbox 360 controller. It works perfectly with GTA IV, but after some research I learnt that SA is simply too old to configure itself automatically to the controller, which is what led me here.

I've managed to find profiles for this, but most of them are with the Xbox 360 controls I think. A few have been similar to the PS2 controls, however I was having problems with the triggers and some buttons. Could anyone point me in the direction of a profile set up for the Xbox 360 control but with the exact same controls as the PS2? (as listed here http://gta.wikia.com/Controls_for_GTA_San_Andreas)

you can use the xcontrols mod wich is in one of my profiles for san andreas somewhere and modify the ini to ps2, Just google xcontrols san andreas for more details. Then make a simple keyboard and mouse profile to make use of the game menus.
