Yes, there does seem to be a hotswap bug here... I'm working on getting it fixed for the next release

In case this is helpful: The bug doesn't appear to happen when the right stick is mapped to W,A,S,D; only the left stick. But when the right stick is mapped to the arrow keys, it can start generating WASD.
