Cyborg RAT MMO Mouse as a Controller?

I am thinking of buying a Rat MMO mouse and I would like to manage it with PGP including its DPAD button. Is it possible to manage it like a gaming controller?

The other option would be to use PGP capability to support commands triggered by mouse buttons in addition to a gaming controller. Unless I am mistaken, this mouse suppport seems to be very limited: only 2 extra buttons can trigger commands, no wheel, no compound commands available, etc.

I don't really know anything about the device, so I can't say for sure... most likely it would register itself in Windows as a game controller, but I could be totally wrong about that.

You can use compound commands with PGP's hotkey feature... and you can assign commands to LBUTTON, RBUTTON, MBUTTON (the wheel being pushed in), XBUTTON1, and XBUTTON2 (these are usually on the side of the mouse)

Sorry about that, I completely missed the Command Assignment with its compound commands in the Hotkeys window. What about the other buttons beyond the 3 mouse clicks and the 2 extra buttons. Is there a way to use them as triggers?

That's where I'm saying I don't know how those are read by Windows, but I imagine the device probably registers itself as a mouse and ALSO as a game controller. But that's just a guess, without the device it's just speculation... if it is registered as a game controller then it will work in PGP.
