Resident evil operation racoon city REORC "method to madness controller support"
OK this is a bit of a run around but if you hate the Xbox emulation on the xbox controller as much as I do in REORC this may make you happy. It is the only way I have found to make this game work with a controller but stop double pressing everything as if a controller and the M&K are being used simultaneously.
Saves you from the absolutely horrendous analog movement in REORC..
"You loose quick draw capability with this but I'm sure someone who cares, can find a way to enable that with some hold/press button, etc"
I don't use quickdraw at all and find it useless.
You may also have to remap your buttons in game once every time you start the game.
Or maybe I did something weird..
Step one:
Open motionjoy and create a custom profile:
make it look like my attached picture if you just want to follow what I did..
I'm sure you could map it other ways and make it work.
Make sure to save the profile and give it a name.
Go back to the home screen in motionjoy after and select that custom profile you just made and enable it.
Open pinnacle profiler and go to preferences, device settings, advanced settings,show wizard. "Show wizard is up top, it's a little underlined click link"
Go through the wizard and tell it "NOT TO" use the settings it thinks are best for this device.
Do them manually.
Select all the proper buttons but when you get to AXIS MAPPING, tell it to use NO FUNCTION for them.
Complete the wizard.
Create a profile in pinnacle and set only the right analog stick to "mapped to mouse".
I found 0% vertical deadzone and 3% horizontal to be the best for me.
Open the game and go to controller, change your controller.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE HIT THE MAP BUTTON FOR MAPPING ROTATIONS OR TILTS IN THE GAMES SETTINGS.
It crashes me every time.
Use the in game controller mappings to set all of your buttons, except the right analog. Pinnacle will be handling that for you..
When mapping the left analog WSAD keys "in game" you may have to hold the direction you want to map on the controller and while you are holding it, select the button with the mouse your trying to map..
ALSO the WSAD keys may map to incorrect axis's. Make sure forward = up
back = down
left = left
right = right.
You really have to watch the mapping for wsad and make sure it says what it's supposed to.
Otherwise it may call it the wrong button.
Welcome to better analog sensitivity.
Only took me a day to figure it out.. Bastages that capcom are with their antiquated software engineering.. XD
I hope I explained this right..lol.. GL.
