Question Shifting & Custom Vibration = Conflict

I made a profile for Thief3 and since it's a keyboard/mouse-only game it has more functions than there are buttons.. so i am using 2 "Shifts" in it to modify the layout of an xbox360 gamepad so i can do everything. I'm using Blue & Red shifts

Blue is on Left Shoulder button
Red on the Right Shoulder button

Since these open me up to doing various stealthy moves it so that while either one is held i get a "Heart beat" vibration..

When i put any of the standard Behavioral Force-feedback/vibration functions on these it just buzzes continually while the button is pushed.. (which is normal) but i want it to have a rhythm, so i had an idea..

I made a standard macro in it that has no key presses and is just related to vibration.

so i came up with something that went something like this:

    Activated:
    Behavior force rumble ON str:2
    Pause 0.18 seconds
    Behavior force rumble Off Str:2
    Pause 0.18 seconds
    Behavior force rumble On Str:2
    Pause 0.18 seconds
    Behavior force rumble Off Str:2
    Pause 0.50 seconds
    Loopback repeat infinite

    Deactivated:
    Behavior force rumble Off Str:2

This makes it feel like a Heart-beat while either key is pushed..and will loop forever until i let go of the key.

Well, when i attach that command to either of the shifts (blue/red) it works on the first press but stops "shifting" when i try to press the key again

Also, if i relaunch that profile and press the key once and hold it and then try any of the other keys that are shifted due to it being held they function sporadically at first and fail after a few seconds and then all of the buttons perform as if they are not shifted
If i remove the shift function the Heartbeat vibration works fine

How come i can't do custom vibrations with Shifts?

    Okay, here is the profile

i was tweaking it so now i have it set only on the red-shifting right shoulder button.

If you have thief running you will notice that when you press the right shoulder button the vibration will screw up shifting the left analog stick into another mode where moving/strafing now becomes zoomIn/ZoomOut/Peaking around corners..

I want him to feel his heartbeat while doing these things.. because it's like he's "consentrating" extra to do them

I wish i could also do the heartbeat vibration while he is "Creeping" with his slowest walk (left shoulder is currently now set to left_control key).. but i couldn't figure out how to do it since the command is already filled by "Left control"

So, for now, i'm just testing the heartbeat vibration with the right-shoulder for red-shifting

If you dont have thief3, OnLive just got it.. you can demo it to test this without installing the game. I created this profile due to OnLive acquiring it and they are my main way to play games now

this profile i made seems to be really good when that heartbeat custom vibration is disabled in it. this profile makes the game have a very console-ish feel. I was surprised at how solid and smooth it performs

the vibrations were suppose to be the final touches
