    Cycle Commands Question

I'm using the cycle commands to cycle through F1 through F10 both forward and backward with up and down on the D-Pad. Is there a way I can press a different button to press the same key more than once? I.E. Hold L2 and press up would hit F5 repeatedly instead of cycling to F6.

I think that should quite easily be possible through a shift mode and rapid-fire, just make L2 a Shift mode, and then assign F5 to Up (No Cycle Command) within the shift mode and use the behavior modification Rapid-Fire, and you should achieve the desired effect.

I don't only want it to hit F5 though. When it's on the F6 key or the F7 key and so on I would like it to hit those as well. This is for a mod for Skyrim that gives a lot more hot keys. Those keys are assigned to F1-F10 and other keys. So I use the cycle commands for that. However when you do that, you cannot hit the same key twice to dual wield. That's what I'm trying to do.

In your case what you want to achieve is relatively simple. Do exactly as Alec said but this time when you have or make a Shift Mode command, assign all the F1 - F10 keys to separate buttons instead of having cycle commands. You can probably use the D-pad for four commands and the A, B, X, Y buttons for another four commands the next two commands can be if you so desire as double commands set to any of the chosen buttons of choice. Doing it that way will give you what you need to do, so whenever you need to press any of the F? keys, its assigned to your choice of buttons in the Shift Mode.

Too many buttons to do that, and if I do it with the face buttons it will activate things and sheathe weapons and what not when I do it. I was able to disable the D-Pad from doing any in-game functions, but I can't do that with the other buttons.

It turns out it doesn't matter though. The way the mod works unfortunately isn't like the shortcuts in game. The shortcuts are game wide, so the hotkeys all do the same thing for every character, and that won't work as both me and my wife play and I'll have to disable it.

Do you know how to make the shift command and apply it? Because that to me is the perfect solution. Another easy solution is to make some double commands but your controller will already be filled up so I think the Shift Mode would've been the best way to go.

Yes. I used some shift commands in Oblivion when I made a profile for that. I'm not sure if you've played Demon's Souls or not, but I was trying to replicate the controls from that game.
