    Crysis 3 Screenshots Revealed

Mother Nature has taken back the plot of land we like to call New York City in Crysis 3, and the first screens for Crytek's upcoming shooter indicate this true urban jungle will, at the very least, be a visual treat to explore. not that interested in getting the game, didn't get the second one, wasn't that impressed with the first one, this looks pretty similar to what is already out there. and for PC this will probably be an origin exclusive, as EA are trying to force that spyware rubbish down people's throats

not interested in getting it, or having to be forced to download and use origin

Keep dreaming. This game is not expected to be too large a graphics leap do to it being developed with the xbox 360 and ps3 in mind.

this is the real issue with FPSs, especially ones from EA, they are getting shorter, as the game is mainly for MP, and yes its mainly for consoles in mind, its nothing but a cash grab on EA's part, as they knew it will sell, I hate the way things are going, I hate the fact that publishers only seem to care about FPSs these days.

that is why Im thankful for KS, at least there will be a few PC exclusive games coming in the new future

publishers can burn in hell for the damage they are doing, most notably EA

    Crysis 3 Official Gameplay Trailer

Crysis 3 a “spiritual successor” to the original Crysis, says Crytek boss

It seems that even Crytek weren’t the biggest fans of Crysis 2 and thought that something didn’t feel right for a gameplay formula that worked well with organic, open-world environments. From the words of Crytek boss Cevat Yerli, Crysis 3 will have more in common with 2007’s debut title than of last year’s New York-set, Crysis 2.

and EA are up to their old tricks by trying to sell day one DLC, which should be in the game to start with, later they probably will get people to pay for more DLC, then announce crysis 4 a year later

I really wonder how many people have fallen for this cheap trick? as this day one DLC thing is getting way out of hand, again not interested, day one DLC like that should be in the game to begin with, not getting people to upgrade or pay more for content that is already in the game, but you need a code to unlock it, EA have been doing this for a while now, and its just getting sickly

ok they aren't the only ones doing it, but EA are the worst

and if you take a look at the DLC

Pre order BONUS - Predator Pack
    • Early access to the Feline sub-machine gun to use in MP
    • Exclusive weapon skin for Feline
Hunter Edition includes (this is extra)
    • Early access to the new signature C3 Bow to use in MP
    • Early access to a bow weapon attachment in MP
    • Early access to the “Hunter” nano-suit module in MP
    • MP Head start at Level 5 XP
    • Exclusive weapon skin for bow
    • 3 x exclusive hunter themed dogtags

all MP stuff, which tells me, that the game is mainly for MP, SP will be short and pointless, not interested if this is the way games from EA are going, anyone else got thoughts on this?

I personally have no problem with EA selling day 1 DLC. In general I think this just kind of stinks of a sense of entitlement that I find to be a trend getting a little out of hand in this day and age. EA is a business and they are in business to sell games. If they want to offer enhanced content above and beyond the finished game then what standing do people have in complaining about that? If the finished games is not somehow diminished to a point of being a unfair or deceptive to the customer such as having to buy the DLC to finish the game as one example, than I feel they have every right to offer purchasable content to people who want more. You don't complain because you have to pay a bit more to super size your fast food order do you. Its not like your not getting a good burger if you don't get your large fry for free with it, right? Are burger joints also ripping people off with this practice?

why is it that DLC is good when it comes out down the road vs close to or at release? maybe they where just more efficient and/or planed better than those that released later on.

If they held off on releasing DLC until a sufficient time has passed to appease the nay sayers, would that make them more in the right?

It comes down to this. Be thankful for added content. People don't have a right to it , EA isn't ripping people off by not giving them DAY 1 DLC for free. I say people would be wanting to rip off EA by insisting on the DLC content be included in the original game. be thankful not entitled. It will help make the world a better place.

I think your missing the point a bit, EA have been branded the worst company in the US, http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/new...america-308302 this goes a long way to describe EA in general right? they shallow up small studios and either shut them down, or make them into a terrible studio, Bioware been a good example of this, Bioware used to be really good, this is the studio know for making great games, but ever since EA took them over, they have released nothing but trash, and ME3 is no exception, and their recent Dragon Age games, which are an insult to their older BG series, I think they made 2 if I remember,

EA have closed down Westwood and many other studios, they release sequels after sequels, or do dull reboots like syndicate, turning the game into a mediocre FPS

I really don't think crysis 3 is really needed one year after the release of crysis 2, which has as far as I googled, only had 2 DLC released for it during this time, so instead of doing an expansion, they made a new game at full price and will litter it with maybe one or 2 map packs and no longer support it after that

and there is massive uproar with the ME 3 ending, and there is going to be DLC release for that to fix the shoddy ending, or add a new ending for a price, and lets not forgot origin, EA's version of steam, and the uproar with its ELUA, and that it went through several revisions, and I personally will not touch that spyware crap at all, as I don't trust what it collects or what EA does with the data that it does collect

and there was a user on steam forums, that had issues with crysis warhead, the second game has limited activations, but as its still on steam, and EA no longer really have anything to do with steam, EA's response was, sorry but we won't give you any more activations, but you can play the game on origin, so pushing that person onto a service he doesn't want,

this is EA, nominated the worst company in the US, because of its bad business practices, while I agree that they are a business to make money, but this same company is trying to shallow up every studio that it can, then change the game, and resell it as something its not. EA has been very bad for gaming, and they are getting worse. the quicker this Goliath of a publisher goes out of business the better, which is why I think Kickstarter funded games are a good thing, brings back the good old days of gaming, we are seeing several old school adventures, Wasteland 2, leisure suit harry, and shadowruns returns, games that publishers like EA wouldn't touch with a bargepole. sorry but I think EA are a bad business, doing first day DLC is just wrong, besides, this is very likely content that is already in the core game to begin with, Mafia 2 was the same, can't remember who published that, this kind of first day DLC crap is getting out of control and needs to stop

so to be honest with you, I disagree with what you wrote Cid, EA are a bad publisher, and they are / have been gettiing worse over the years, I think its time we start seeing new games from small indie studios that really shakes up the gaming industry, and right now this needs to happen, unless you want to play COD 23, BF 40, crysis 7 you get the picture? as right now, games are getting poorer, and EA are just trying to milk titles because they sell, I personally don't buy anything from this publisher anymore, they are hurting games, so the quicker they go the better, so I will be happy when more games get successfully funded through KS, and we start seeing new titles, and old titles as well, more creativity, is what gaming needs right now, right now, no publisher allows that, as its just the same old rubbish year after sodding year

    edit

just found this one ME3 day one content, maybe this will change your mind, and strengthen my argument against day one DLC
    http://addicted-gamers.com/2012/02/2...s-day-one-dlc/

basically this DLC was in the game to begin with, but was removed to help make more money, its this kind of thing that shouldn't be allowed, and there is a massive backlash as a result, so you should read that, then see if you come back and say EA are in the right for selling DLC that was in the core game to begin with
