as good as this game is, I don't think controller support with PGP is really good, not that it has controller support, its far, far better and responsive with keyboard and mouse, using magic is one area that is a lot faster with mouse, even then its a bit clunky, the game is awesome, just don't think its that good with controller, keep to keyboard and mouse to get the most from it

    that is my advice

Matthew I'm presently playing the game and yes you're right about playing this particular game with a kb & mouse. But there are those who just love to play a game using a controller. Thats why I made this profile.

As much as playing a game with controller, I still say its not worth it for this game, magic at times is really needed, as its a backup to what your main front two party members can do, and I also think mouse is a lot faster for attacking, this is one game that really should be played with K&M to get the best enjoyment from it, and some of the fights are pretty tricky, so magic really does help, which is why mouse is far better.

But yeah, not bad for controller support, but it really doesn't do the game justice if you use it, that is my two cents, not all games really play well with controller, and WL2 and DFA adventure games that are going to happen, would also be really bad for controllers, as Brain himself said, that he has no support for controllers without having to change huge amounts of the game, and interface, also not sure if you played the special edition of Monkey Island 1 and 2? well the controller interface was utter horrible, I just couldn't use it at all, I preferred the old classic interface that made some puzzles a lot easier to handle

While the controller is great for quite a few games, LoG and games designed for PC, mac and possibly unix, when precision is needed or speed, M&K is still far better, when WL2 does come out, I will be very surprised if you can get that to successfully work on a controller, I have my doubts, but we will see

Just my two cents worth or maybe 4

    having trouble with this
I want the left joystick to map to WASD so I edit & save , & it does work when I test in notepad; but in game, a joystick push to the left or right is taken as Q or E
i.e. as a turn. I cannot seem to set up joystick to strafe.

the problem is only with the stick - if I map D pad to WASD that works OK.

I cannot see what I am doing wrong here ?

I have latest PGP, win 7, latest game update.
