Anyone else looking forward to chatpad drivers for your PC? Think of the possabilities!
I emailed MS and they gave me a typical non-answer as to when they will be out.

Yea, there should be some cool things you could do with that indeed. But I've ranted enough about MS's lack of PC driver support already.I have a feeling it could be a while yet, and I wouldn't be surprised if home-made drivers don't show up on the Internet first.
and I wouldn't be surprised if home-made drivers don't show up on the Internet first.I really got a kick out of something I read on the MS website "Just wanted to give the folks at MS a heads up before the reverse engineering begins" THATS FUNNY! (and true)
i have the Xbox 360 chatpad.........its pretty neat, i havent even thought of plugging it into the PC with the controller yet lol
too bad windows probly wont dectect it, that would make the ultimate WoW game pad. and it would help for online shooters too![]()
it would help in so many ways i cant begin to describe or i'll never stop.
yeah, never again would I use a keyboard and mouse lol. I have a laptop for prolonged typing.
have anyone tried it with WIRED Controller? i know its not work with wireless reciever (probably due of it design), but ms tech support via phone said that its work with wired controller like a normal HID keyboard (the tech support guy said that only one or two specific XBOX buttons dont work like Messenger button) and Vista will download automaticly driver from windows udpate.
Well I don't know who you talked to, but I think he was, well, less-than-correct... I have wired and wireless controller and there is no driver in site. Perhaps he was refering to the fact that plugging an HID-USB keyboard into your Xbox360 console works the same way as the chatpad... seems it has been intentionally blocked on the PC just like the Xbox360 GUIDE button. Not that I can see why it would be intentionally blocked, especially given the Microsoft has claimed in advertising that it is compatible with the console or PC, but I see no reason that it could not work on the PC since both the Xbox360 console and the PC use the same XINPUT interface to talk to the controller. Have a look at this link in Wikipedia...

he exactly said that its work on pc and automaticly recognised when he pluged it in usb port at pc... as i think he was doing that at work pc and ms xbox tech support workers may have pc systems with installed internal drivers that not released on public???
Its can be possible.
