Trial worked, pgp pro won't

I was using the trial of PGP with a 360 controller just fine, everything worked. But recently the trial ran out so I bought the program and registered. I reinstalled the program just by mistake, but I reloaded my profiles no problem and everything registered okay. Except now, the program is behaving very strangely. It detects the controller and the profiles look normal, but when I run the game the buttons just don't do anything. In the case of Battlefield 3, it seemed like it just wasn't doing anything, but then after mashing some buttons, the start button actually paused the game and the left stick navigated the menu like it should, but nothing else worked. I could also select the highlighted option with the A button, but once I re-entered the game nothing worked again. I don't understand this at all and I really need help since almost all my games rely on this program now.

Try going into the game's options menu and 'restore defaults' to see if that helps. If you continue to have trouble after that, go to GAME PROFILES > EDIT and enable the 'launch as persistent profile' setting to see if that makes a difference.
