Automatically download most popular game profile if "official" one doesn't exist

Basically, I'd like an option to automatically download and apply the most popular game profile for a game when an official Pinnacle one doesn't exist. -- b/c that's basically what most of us do anyway. New game or old game . . . . no official profile yet from pinnacle . . . people just download the best/most popular one they can find on the download site here at pinnacle.

I think your suggestion would not be the best solution for a few reasons. For example, Many games require you to edit the game or set up the controls in a specific way to be able to use the profile as intended. That would likely cause a lot of confusion and frustration that would be unfairly attributed to pinnacle Game Profiler.

Most users wouldn't know that they need to visit the appropriate forum thread for instructions for there profile after it was automatically updated, my own Oblivion profile being a perfect example. On top of that, profiles are all over the map with regard to quality and many would not be appropriate to be included as an automatic update regardless of there popularity.

Only profiles from certain "proven" users should be included as an automatic update in order to insure that certain standard of quality are met and Pinnacle users get an experience that is worthy of being endorsed by Power up Software.

Yes I have to agree 100% with Cid's reply to your suggestion.

People like Pinnacle Cid, rehab (Pinnacle Aldo), Tigpoppa, Rob etc. makes the most excellent profiles with proper names to each commands and proper assignments, and some others may just use plain assignment like just drop in a right mouse click a kb button pressed and no name to it. sorry, i think we're misunderstanding eachother. I'm not talking about automatically updating profiles that exist for a user. I'm talking about an initial profile for a game when none exists from Pinnacle. Create a new game . . . . the "download official profile" option is greyed out b/c it doesn't exist . . . most people at this point don't create the entire profile themselves . . . they download one from Pinnacle website and try it out. I'm asking for another option on that screen when you create a new game. Current options are 1) create a blank profile 2) download official Pinnacle profile (if it's not greyed out) 3) treat like X-box controller for those PC games that support it (usually certified for Microsoft Windows games) 4) generic first person shooter profile . . . etc. I'm asking for another option: "5) download most popular profile if official Pinnacle one doesn't exist" Then, if user doesn't like it. . . they just change it or create their own from a blank profile.
