    Newest Project

Thought i would share a little info on my latest Project to find out what other Members think of this project and if it was availabe to them would they even use it?
Bare in mind that this System is only about 65% completed, the final results will be much more eye appealing.

Basicly This is a Windows Vista PC, Gaming System, Multimedia System and Video Surveillance System all rolled into one that is controlled by a wireless KB & mouse, RF remote control, wireless 360 controller (or any other gamepad thanks to pinnacle ), Voice recognition or logging in from internet or local network.

VIDEO: Duel monitor support, DVI,VGA, HD componet,s-video and composite video TV outputs.
    S-video, Composite video inputs.
SOUND: 7.1 sound surround digital and RCA stereo outputs, stereo rca input. Built in microphone for voice recognition,Video chat etc..

LCD Monitor Extends out, Swivels 360 degrees, moves all the way left and right and tilts up and down. no matter where you are in a room you can adjust the monitor perfectly with ease.

BUILT IN: Battery Backup & AVR ( 60 minute run time ), High Power wireless router/access point, 1.2MP pan/tilt/zoom Camera with face tracking, 32 camera professional video surveillance system (supports rs422/rs485 controlled PTZ & light/power/wiper), TV TUNER, PVR, automatic system fan/ temp control etc.. + much more.

Anyway those are the basic's of the system, i built this to use in my bedroom, it takes up a small area (corner of room), alot less then if I had a TV , game console, cable box/PVR etc... and all is accessed by voice or wireless.

And finaly here is a Picture of the project.

That's pretty cool, I like the fact you got voice recognition built-in, that's sweet. Plus of course I like the fact you are using Pinnacle and your gamepad too, lol.

thanks Pinnacle is a God sent, it makes controlling everything so damn easy. To be honest I would have never even considered building something like this before, however after experimenting and learning Pinnacle my mind really opened up, I mean the things one can program pinnacle do are simply endless.
For example I just learned that my 360 controller left stick and default Vista 360 Profile allows me to Pan, tilt and zoom that ball camera ( Black ball on top of system) as soon as i click on the Cam Software. Pinnacle is just so freaking awesome the way it works and its so stable I feel very comfortable leaving it running as if it was part of the OS.

Alot of people think of Pinnacle as just a gamepad profiler & its a great one indeed however its advanced features and programing abilty goes awhole lot deeper then that, using them allowed me to break out of the box and have complete control over a PC anyway I choose. If it wasnt for Pinnacle the options would have been very limited, old-school and boring.

I know i said it like 1000 times before but everytime your software surprises me with unplaned extra's like this i feel like kissing you, However seeing how were both males, a handshake will have to do
Great job on the software Admin!

P.S The entire system cost me around $2,100 to build ,give or take a few hundred.
