now that shows promise, I was sceptical due to oblivion, but after seeing that seems the game is a lot more open ended, and those dragon fights look good, nice that you can duel wield as well, starting to have good hopes for the game, and game length is good too, especially as many are getting shorter not longer
I think if they get the PC version optimized, and not have too many silly mini games, this maybe a hit
So glad they decided to build a new engine from the ground up, it was desperately needed. What they managed to pull out of the Gamebryo engine for Oblivion and Fallout 3 is incredible, but now they can finally show the true vastness of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls unhindered with an in-house built engine.
With the amount of talent and experience they have at Bethesda, I'm rather surprised that it's been this long before they created their own engine, especially with such huge franchises as The Elder Scrolls and recently acquired Fallout.
I'm most excited for the new animation system, something that was severely lacking in previous titles. Nothing killed immersion more than traveling through the lush forests in Oblivion, and than seeing an NPC moving so awkwardly it was actually frightening at times. They were able to create stunning landscape in Fallout 3 and Oblivion, which was gorgeous to stare at, but actually interacting with it was another story, and has somewhat bottle-necked immersion in those games.
Regardless, the downfalls of gamebryo will be no more, and I couldn't be more excited for this game and future installments.

Skyrim: Making Fantasy a Reality
http://uk.ps3.ign.com/articles/117/1176499p1.htmlAnyone that's laid their eyes on Bethesda Softworks' eagerly anticipated Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the follow-up to its smash-hit Oblivion, at this year's E3 came away positively salivating at the possibilities in store for the game.
We got a chance to get some one-on-one time with Bruce Nesmith, Lead Designer of Skyrim, to ask a few questions about this year's most epic role-playing game.
