Sometimes people have problems with running PGP, and wish to remove it from there computer fully and start fresh with a new Installation. This Tutorial will guide you through the process of doing this. Please note this process involves editing the Windows Registry, I will not be held responsible for any potential damage that may be caused by editing the registry.
CAUTION: THIS WILL REMOVE PGP COMPLETELY INCLUDING PROFILES. Please make a backup of any profiles and imageguides you've made before doing the following.
The Method Below Still Works But I have Now Made A Cleaner Application Which Should Give You A Clean Install Of PGP, Without Uninstalling. Just Run The exe in The Attached Zip and Follow The Instructions. The Script Was Written With AutoIT and I Have Included The Source File If Anyone Wants To Analyze it.
1. Close PGP
2. Uninstall PGP and restart your system when requested
3. After restarting, delete the Following Folders:
"%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\PowerUp Software\"
"%APPDATA%\PowerUp Software\"
4. Remove The Following Registry Keys:
"HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PowerUp Software"
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PowerUp Software"
5. Now Reinstall The Latest Version of PGP.
Notes:
If You Had A version lower than PGP 5.0 installed ever then you may also need to delete KalinkoSoft as well as PowerUp Software. I am working on an automated way of doing this, to make life easier for People.#
