Wishlist: Processor affinity as application setting

In my quest to get the FR on STALKER COP up, I have discovered that even though COP is a multithreaded .exe, the bulk of processing for this game is handled by a primary thread on CPU-0.

Staying away from system processes, the game's FR jumps and "studder" decreases with every background app that can be set to stay off CPU-0.
--which includes (but not limited to):

    Logitech gamepanel software,
    Audio Card application
    Nvidia apps
    EVGA precison/OSD
    and...you guessed it...
    Pinnacle...

Setting the affinity for many processes is a slight hastle, and Micro$oft is obviously saving a right click/setting (like compatibility) to get us to buy a future OS. For time being windows doesn't remember affinity upon restart of application/OS...

My bit of reasearch into this found that although there are programs that can be used to manage/remember affinity for different .exe's, it is actually better when those programs are multi-core aware, at which point they can have a program setting for affinity (not multithreaded, just core aware).

    Maybe for Christmas? (LOL)

    AMD 9750 OC 2.6Ghz Win7x64 +8GB, ASUS Mobo, GTX 460, spinning HDs

Also worth noting: STALKER COP really likes having a decent USB flash drive plugged/set up as readyboost. Random small reads are one area a quality USB stick can rival in performance to an internal SSD. (and they're relatively cheap: if it wears out, just replace it!)

I'll have to look into what you're saying to see what if anything can be done for the future...
