Fatal Error - "Steam must be running to play this game"

Hello everyone I was just wondering what's wrong here. I created a profile to play Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 with my Xbox 360 wireless controller and it always says "Fatal Error - 'Steam must be running to play this game'" when I have Steam running and an Internet connection. Yes, I did search and download new updates and it still won't work. Please help!

Hmm... Please press the F4 key on the keyboard. That will open the "About Pinnacle" window, do you see v5.3.0 in the lower-left corner of the window?

Yes. I do. Now when I try to open it, nothing happens.

Are you on Windows 64-bit? If you are not sure then you probably are not... Please go to START MENU > RUN and enter %APPDATA%\PowerUp Software\Pinnacle Game Profiler\pinnacle.log then post your log data.
