I originally installed this game on my PC but because I'm using Pinnacle 4.9 I couldn't use your profile so I decided to get it for ps3. I didn't want to be bothered with setting up yet another profile (even though it's not a big deal I was annoyed that I couldn't use the right stick to crouch because it was assigned to the pause menu. Anyway, I just thought I'd point out that this game looks MUCH better on the PC. I was quite surprised at the difference.
I've played the console and PC version of many games and usually the PC version looks about the same as the console or a little bit better. But in this case the differential is huge.
*REQUIRES THE JOYPAD TO BE UNPLUGGED UNTIL THE MAIN MENU!*
Do you mean start the game from pinnacle then unplug controller or battery till the main game menu then plug it back in?
Because I can't start anything from pinnacle with a controller unhooked.
Ok figured that out. But now sometimes the controls work sometimes not.
Example sprinting sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't same with melee. Or like I have to wait so long before I can use it again. Do you know what would be causing this.
Well Pinnacle can auto-detect your game is running, and it can auto-detect when you connect the controller... so in this case I think you can just unplug the controller, then start the game from the shortcut on your desktop or start menu (not from Pinnacle). Then when the game gets loaded, you plug the controller back in and Pinnacle detects the controller and game and starts the profile automatically for you.
This I'm not sure what to suggest, but maybe if those commands are part of Double Commands, then you might be tapping the button to fast? If that is the case you could move things around to better suit your needs.
Hmm strange.. It could indeed be a double command as Rob is mentioning (e.g. Melee = a quick tap of the B-button while holding it is Enter/exit vehicles) but Sprint is not a double command so can't really understand what you mean there. But yeah, you should know which buttons are double commands before playing otherwise things may appear strange.
By the way, you CAN start games with the controller unplugged via Pinnacle:
However, this only appears to work after a fresh start of Pinnacle with the controller unplugged. Once the controller has been detected by Pinnacle and you unplug, the game doesn't start anymore (Rob, do you have an explanation?)
About the sprinting: I think you were trying to sprint while crouched. You can't sprint while crouched. When you have the issue again, press START or Right-stick button (depending on the configuration you use) and try again...
Let me know if it works.
Hi again,
This may be entirely down to my own lack of ability. However, having said that I have played FPS games on the 360 without much issue...
I find this game near impossible with the 360 controller on PC. Are you guys making any additional adjustments to the profile or the way the controller is setup at all? I understand it is most likely a case of individual preference so if you could maybe offer some options to try that would be great.
Should also mention I have tried messing with the mouse sensitivity, but to no evail.
Thanks in advance.
