After you extract the PIN file from the ZIP, just go to GAME PROFILES > IMPORT and point to the PIN file.

I know that this thread is like a year old, but I'd like to first say thanks for putting the work into this profile. I picked up GTA:SA this week off of Steam because it was $2.50, and it's been a blast playing through it. The last time I played it back in 2005, it was with SAAC and it's a shame that it no longer works with GTA:SA because it was a great system.

That being said, this Pinnacle Profiler works pretty well and I purchased the product today.

-- For those having issues where A and X do the same thing (on a 360 controller), that happened to me only when I did not have the ".set" file copied correctly. Once I copied it, it worked fine.

I do have a question though -- what would be the best way to map the Right Trigger & LEft Trigger to Accellerate/Brake without losing a lot of the functionality of the game? I just can't go back to the inferior A / X driving of GTA:SA on consoles.

Also -- does anybody else experience "sticky" buttons with this with a 360 controller? Often times, my shot gun will shoot 5 straight times. It might have something to do with the controller, but I'm not sure. Anyway -- thanks for the great modification... makes playing this classic fun again.

I bought GTA:SA off of Steam as well. I would like to use SAAC with it, but the downgrader patch says " The destination directory doesn't contain any files to patch." when I route it to the folder in Steam. Is there a known way to fix this, or am I doing something wrong?

I'm not sure if SAAC lets you map the Accellerate/Brake to the triggers, but I think it would... this was actually based on the PS2 layout of the game, and so that didn't use the triggers. I think the "sticking" you are talking about could be the CPU spiking... try to make sure shutdown any programs you aren't using when you play and if that doesn't help, I would say it could be due to the graphics settings in the game being a bit too high (at least for other programs to have the expected access to the CPU). Most likely if you can lower it just a bit, that would probably resolve the problem. As for downgrading the steam version of this game, I'm not sure if you can do that...

Rob thanks for the response... the A / B has worked out fine in the end.

I'll look into the sticky fire button, but I just disabled the B button on the controller altogether and it stopped doing it, so now I stick to mouse only.

Just one final question, thanks for answering the other ones, I'm really having trouble swimming in the game... CJ won't "dive," if he goes under water he pretty much immediately starts to floats back up even if I take over and use the keyboard. I'm going to try to find a solution for this somewhere. Thanks!

Sorry, I really don't know about the swimming on the PC... don't have the game on the PC only on PS2
