It's very similar but often the PC versions of games are different than the console versions and it could be difficult, impossible, or make no sense to try to make a profile exactly the same as a console layout when applied to the PC. Most of the buttons are going to be the same in most cases, but there is no reason to make a profile that doesn't work as well on the PC version just to keep it exactly the same as a console version.
