Quad Shift System

Pinnacle has greatly enhanced its shifting capabilities. It now supports four shifted modes and one unshifted mode per configuration, and the number of configurations per profile is still unlimited.

Here are some highlights of the new system:
  • Shift-modes in PGP are designed to allow you to fit more commands in the profile than you have buttons to trigger them. So for example, if your controller has 12 buttons then it would be easy to fit 24 commands in the profile with a single shift-mode button. Using multiple shift-modes and/or combining other features of PGP (ie, Double Commands and Cycle Commands) allows you to assign all the functionality that you need to play the game, regardless of what type of controller you are using or how many buttons it has on it!
  • Shifting can now be done via the event-step system used by commands, meaning that a shift-mode change can be built directly into a command instead of applied separately. This greatly increases the flexibility of shift-modes in PGP allowing you to combine them with other features in some truly unique ways.
  • Shift-modes can be embedded inside of other shift-modes. This means that you don't have to dedicate a particular button for shifting in all modes and allows you to "stack" the shift-modes so that you can have a single button move to one shift-mode while a combination of buttons could move to a different shift-mode. The possibilities are truly unlimited, especially when combined with PGP's configuration hot-swapping features
  • Shifting no longer monopolizes a button, so you can shift and execute a command at the same time.
  • Shift-modes can inherit commands from the shift-mode (or unshifted-mode) from which they're created. This means you spend less time re-assigning commands that you want to remain constant between shift-modes.

Your program turned my right joystick into a mouse and allowed EASY binding of keyboard keys to gamepad buttons [for Portal on Steam].  I can finally use my PC for gaming MY WAY.
