Pinnacle's Controller Translation System

Many of the profiles created by users in the Pinnacle community come preconfigured for a large number of console-style game controllers.  That's because they benefit from Pinnacle's built-in translation system.  It works like this.  Say you create a profile for Call of Duty 4 with a configuration specifically designed for the Microsoft Xbox 360 Controller.  Pinnacle Game Profiler will automatically adapt this configuration for all other similar controllers.  For example, owners of  the Sony SIXAXIS controller can download your profile, and Pinnacle will automatically translate your Xbox 360 configuration into a SIXAXIS configuration they can use.

We group configurations for console-style controllers into two classes.  The first and largest class is called Config Class Alpha. It contains controllers in the style of Microsoft's Xbox 360 controller and Sony's PlayStation controllers, distinguished by their four shoulder buttons and four face buttons. The second class is called Config Class Bravo. It contains controllers in the style of Microsoft's original Xbox controller.
